The Morris Ring founded in 1934, is an association of over two hundred
morris dance sides. Our mission is to encourage the performance of morris dancing,
to maintain its traditions and to preserve its history. Each year we organise
several Ring Meetings for our members. See the 2008 meetings programme

Brian Tasker (right), of Hartley Morris Men & Castleford Longsword
became the Squire of the Morris Ring, taking the Staff of Office over from Paul Reece (left), of Thaxted
Morris Men, at the 316th Morris Ring Meeting in Totnes town square on Sunday
August 7th. Brian will be Squire for the next two years.
A fabulous Dartington Morris Ring Meeting 5th to 7th September. Thanks Lads! There was some rain, but it did not dampen the dancing, spoil the singing, or get in the beer! A certain fishy theme to the weekend, with fish and chips for Friday supper, Salmon during the Saturday feast, and kippers for Sunday breakfast. They fed us well!
