We would like to encourage artistic groups to take part in the 4-year-old "Window to the East" 
event in 2010. The festival takes place in a beautiful tourist region of Poland; in the 
Chelmno area. The region is famous for its virgin forests, lakes, nature reserves and wonderful 
monuments on the European Route of Brick Gothic. The Festival Committee, apart from organizing 
the event, also plans many attractions for children and grown-ups.

Dear Madam, Dear Sir,
Let me introduce myself, I am Miklós Károly from Szeged, the county town of county 
Csongrád in South-Hungary.
The International County-Wandering Festival first time was organized in 2002.
During the festival the participant groups travel from town to town in the regions, 
that's why its name is County-Wandering.
There are different villages and small towns in this area (Csongrád County, Bács-Kiskun County, 
Békés County Jász-Nagykun Szolnok and Somogy, Baranya, Tolna, Veszprém, Zala and (BALATON) 
County) which act as host to the groups with a lunch or dinner as a change for the performances 
shown by the groups. In the hosting towns and villages generally there are events organized on 
their own, and the festival is attaching to it with the shows of the participant groups.

The festival can receive amateur groups of children, youth and adults, 4, maximum 6 groups for each
date and I am waiting for the registration of:
• folk dance ensembles,
• majorette groups with or without orchestra,
• "flag-twirling" groups,
• orchestras (fanfares, winds-orchestras, drummers etc.).
• carnival groups, twirling-baton, show groups, etc.

I would like to call your attention to have a look at the website (www.countywandering.gerisoft.hu), 
where you can kind find the details, application form and other useful informations about the 
International County-Wandering Festival which has already been announced.

The maximum number of people in a group is about 50-70, but not only dancers/singers/musicians etc. 
can come but also relatives, friends etc. who are not active members of the dance group, with 
the same conditons of participation.

Festival conditions:
• the cost of travel to the festival and back to home has to be covered by the group itself.
• If the ensemble arrives by bus, the festival helps it with some fuel, that is in 2009 for 
  5 nights 150 liters.
• during the festival you will be assured meal three times a day.
• everybody will get packed meal for the journey back to home.
• English speaking guide will be assured to each group during the festival, from arrival 
  till departure.
• number of performances during the International County-Wandering Festival are about 3-4 
  occasions.
• duration of performances will be around min. 20, max. 30 minutes.
• all performances will take place in open air places.
• during your stay in Hungary you might travel around 600-900 km altogether.

Festival pays:
• 3 times meal a day (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
• packed meal for the journey back home will be assured.
• if the group arrives by bus the festival covers the cost of travelling during the period 
of the festival in Hungary in the shape of fuel in 2010 for 5  nights - 150 liters.

Group pays:
• the group pays for its own travel and accommodation cost.
• If the group arrives by plane, the bus costs for 5 nights: 800.000 Hungarian 
  Forint/group/festival.

City of SZEGED: Offer dates for 2010:

Accommodation fee for groups with 41 and more people:
• In college: 5 nights - 5600 Hungarian Forint/person/day.
• In hotel:   5 nights - 9500 Hungarian Forint/person/day.

Accommodation fee for groups with 40 or under 40 people:
• In college: 5 nights - 1.120.000 Hungarian Forint/group/festival.
• In hotel:   5 nights - 1.900.000 Hungarian Forint/group/festival.

5th International Folk Festival, March 5th to March 14th, 2010, Lazimpat, Kathmandu Nepal

from March 5th to March 14th 2010, organized by Everest Nepal Cultural Group invite to 
Folklore group from different countries to participate in our 5th International Folk 
Festival 2010. Nepal has only one festival therefore doesn't miss this festival and

Dear friends;

TUFAG (Tourism and Turkish Folklore Research Improvement Association) was founded in 1984. TUFAG 
has been performing folk dances from the different regions of Turkey . The number of dancers 
is about 200. TUFAG takes part in every stage of the Ministry of Culture Folk Dance Competition. 
TUFAG was honored with the first place of this competition in 1990,2002 and 2005

Between 5-11 July 2010 TUFAG will organize 24th International Folk Dance Festival. The festival 
will take place in different cities and villages around the Yalova. Yalova is close to Istanbul, 
which is between the Istanbul and Bursa . The festival will include International Golden Carnation 
Folk Dance Competition and Best Authentic Girls Costume Competition. 

In 2009 folk dance groups from Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, Martinique, India, Korea, Costarica, 
Colombia, Georgia, Slovakia, Algeria and Indonesia participated to our festival between 
29 June- 5 July 2009. 

After the International Golden Carnation Folk Dance Competition these groups took the first three 
place. We congratulate our all groups.

3. Martinique - La Compagnie de Danse Pom Kanel

We would be grateful if one group from your country participate in our Festival 2010. We are 
looking forward to learn more about all cultures. Our main aim is to make a remarkable contribution 
to the idea of peace and friendship. 

If you are interested to participate, please contact with us. We would like to hear from you as 
soon as possible with information and visual materials of your group until the beginning of 
January 2010. We can also try to arrange one or two more weeks accommodation for your group in Turkey.
